The test of the second open water experiment (first week) has been carried out. The test content is mainly focused on the accuracy test of sensory information acquisition and the realization of task one (Entrance and Exit Gates).
To this end, team members built markers (buoys, docks, obstacles, etc.) at the experimental site and worked with relevant tools. Overall, the test work went smoothly. This week, the weather was hot and the heat was hard to bear. The team members made great efforts for the smooth progress of the experiment, and I hope that the next test work can proceed smoothly as planned.

After a team member's preparation for ten days, the second open water experiment began as planned. The site of the experiment was still selected at the location of the first open water experiment. In the midsummer to China, the scenery on the riverside has become very beautiful, with lush islands in the distance, clear waters and clouds in the sky. In the next experimental time, team members will work together to overcome difficulties and achieve the desired goals. In order to better achieve the expected goals of the second open water experiment, team members have made great efforts. During the first experiment to the second experiment, we updated our hardware facilities and equipment onboard and optimized the control software.
We chose Songhua river as our testing place. In our first outdoor test, we experienced many difficulties. In the end, we found some fatal problems. So we came back and fix them.
We discuss the rules with the organizers and it is really helpful. It is a pity that we do not speak English fluently, and I am really sure we will be much better next time!
Now the whole project has been restarted. The hydrophone equipments has been bought, and we are going to finish the LIDAR system procurement soon.
After few weeks hard work, all the existing hardware equipment are running perfectly. And now the software system is nearly complete. Our team are eagering to dedicate to the 2018 robotx challenge!#1d5c80 |
