The Maritime RobotX Challenge is a capstone robotics competition which builds upon the successful implementation of other student robotics competitions such as RoboBoat and RoboSub. It encourage student teams to participate and learn from other competitions, and then apply those skills to the advanced challenges presented in the RobotX Challenge.
The Wave Adaptive Modular Vessel (WAM-V) is an innovative class of watercraft (both autonomous and manned) using unique suspension technology to radically improve seagoing capabilities. The articulating system uses springs, shocks and ball joints to minimize structural loading.
